NEWS REPORT DAY @ KINGSMEAD (Thursday 26th March 2009)

Come back later to see new reports for this year.

Click Here to listen to the BBC School Report produced by students and broadcast live on 10 Radio.

Today (13/3/08) we are putting together our radio presentation. We have covered many interesting stories (Click on the links to listen to our reports):

We have been writing scripts, planning speeches and coordinating running order. We had a planning day on the 6th of February and Mr. Elkins (our teacher) selected the best group of people in our year to go forward to making the report.

We have spent some of our time at lunchtimes or during lessons to interview different people and put the interviews together. We planned what we were going to say on the radio and what our introduction and scripts would be like.

We have had deadlines that we had to meet and we met them all! Everybody was assigned different jobs like presenters, producers and working on the different stories.

Our group was covering the story of Parkour and vandalism. We interviewed many important people like a Member of European Parliament (MEP) and our head teacher.

We went up to the town centre and interviewed members up the public about the stories and we received some very interesting answers.

When we were finished we put all of our stories together to be broadcast live on 10 radio and the 10 radio website. These stories would then be put onto the BBC radio and the BBC website.  Our group even got to go on TV!
