BBC Micro:bit Computers

Posted on Feb 23, 2017

Kingsmead Year 8 students are spending time in their ICT lessons this term learning the basics of how to use their very own micro:bit; a pocket sized, codeable computer.  Every student in the UK in this year group have been given their own free micro:bit as a one off project funded by the BBC, as part of their Make It Digital campaign.  Students are learning how to create code and effectively use their micro:bits before being allowed to take them home where they can continue to experiment and develop code in their own time as they wish.
