Sport Relief

The Year 11 A and B Netball Teams played against Kingsmead staff to raise money for Sport Relief. The matches were fiercely fought but the Year 11’s were victorious. Out of three matches the staff drew one and lost the others. Students were charged 50p to be spectators and thoroughly enjoyed watching on the beautiful sunny spring day.

Challenge Day - Year 8 WW1

Year 8 students spent Challenge Day learning about WW1 in this centenary year. They focussed on what life was like on the Home Front and devised and performed drama sketches about working in ammunition factories, rural life, rationing and the air raids.

Table Tennis Winner

Year 7 student Maisie Thorpe is through to the next round of the Somerset Under13 Table Tennis Championships. She is training hard and aiming for the National Championships later in the year. Maisie said “I didn't think I’d win but I’m really enjoying playing competitively”. We wish her luck!
