Concerns and Complaints
If you have any worries, concerns or complaints, please do not hesitate to contact us. Like any organisation, we do not always get things right, but we are keen to hear about ways in which we can improve and wish to resolve issues as quickly and positively as possible. We have an experienced range of staff available at all levels to help Parents, Carers and Students with any issues or concerns that might arise. Please check below to see who would be most appropriate for you to contact:
Contact your child's Tutors
Your child's Tutor should be contacted in the first instance. They can help you with routine issues and general concerns. To get in touch, Tutors can be contacted by emailing contact@kingsmead-school.com or by telephoning 01984 623483.
Contact your child's Head of Year
If you have an issue regarding learning, achievement or academic progress, please contact your child's Head of Year. Also if you have any concerns around behaviour, bullying, wellbeing or pastoral care, the Head of Year is the best person to speak with.
Contact your child's class Teacher or Head of Department
Teachers and Heads of Department should be contacted if you have concerns around your child’s learning and progress in a specific subject, or if you have queries around the homework they are being set.
Contact the SEND Department
The SEND Department support students with additional needs, including those with special educational needs and disabilities, children who are looked after or have previously been looked after, and those with particular medical needs where additional support is required. The Team is led by Mrs Mackie (Assistant Headteacher – Inclusion/SENCo). To get in touch, please email SEND@kingsmead-school.com marked FAO Mrs Mackie.
Contact the Senior Leadership Team
The Senior Leadership Team, should be contacted for issues not resolved satisfactorily after all other channels have been followed. To make contact, please email contact@kingsmead-school.com or telephone the school office on 01984 623483 to request a call back at the end of the day or an appointment which require at least 24 hours notice.
