Kingsmead students will soon have the chance to take part in an exciting new lunchtime activity with the launch of our very own school amateur radio club. The club will run from its own fully operational radio station room and students will be able to communicate “on the air” with other radio amateurs around the world.
Thanks to a grant from the Radio Communications Foundation, a new antenna has been purchased for use by the club, which will be run by Teaching Assistant Mr Matthews.
The School has its own club licence in place with the call sign of M0KSB and club information can be found on the International call sign database QRZ.com (type M0KSB into the search box and it will take you to our school page).
For more information on the club visit the Lunchtime Clubs page on firefly. There will also be an update on the club in the next school newsletter.
